That is why, under the advice of this world institution, the Mexican Sports Nutrition Federation, AC, arises, which under the guidelines of PINES seeks to reproduce the work model, the objectives, bring it to Latin America starting from Mexico and looking for strategies to breaking one of the main barriers that we have in our countries to be updated in this area, which is language.
In recent years, we have received the advice of the best sports nutrition specialists and have partnered with internationally recognized organizations. Currently, we have the support of PINES and experts from the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and from the International Society for the Advancement of Cinenthropometry (ISAK).
The FMND was born in 2012 with the aim of bringing together sports nutrition professionals from Mexico and becoming the highest body in sports nutrition in the country.
However, like sports nutrition, the Mexican Sports Nutrition Federation is constantly evolving and we are aware of the relevance of creating a community of sports nutrition professionals not only in Mexico, but also in the rest of the world.
Honorary Professor at St. Andrews University, Scotland. He has organized and chaired the Consensus on Sports Nutrition of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) in 2003 and 2010, the Consensus of Nutrition in Soccer of FIFA / F-MARC in 2005 and the Consensus of Nutrition and Athletics of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) in 2007. He has published a large amount of research in scientific journals and is the author and editor of more than 12 books on sports nutrition and exercise biochemistry- Professor Maughan has collaborated with more than 50 chapters in other books. He is currently Director of the International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition
He is a Consultant in Sports Nutrition and Kineanthropometry. Francis has been part of the International Olympic Committee (Lausanne, Switzerland) 2010 and the Olympic Committees of the USA, Sweden, Qatar, Colombia and Puerto Rico. He is nthropometrist Criterion ISAK Level 4. He has been a sports nutritionist for different professional soccer and ice hockey teams, including Club Atlético River Plate, Chicago Blackhawks, Chivas Guadalajara, Cerro Porteño, Boca Juniors and the Mexican Football Federation. Francis also has been advisor in amateur teams in: weightlifting, handball, hockey, rugby, basketball, volleyball, softball, swimming and athletics.
